Isabelle Conaghan uses a variety of illustrative techniques to create contrast in movement with cyclical and recurring linear lines combined with distorted ink work to capture the life of an indiviudal’s mind. Her work is a conceptual representation of mental illness that originated from her grandmother’s diagnosis of Dementia. Throughout her illustrative and photographic collection, the movement of ‘memory’ is captured on paper through continuous lines, bleeding of layered ink and textiles revealing intimate silhouettes.
